When I met Corey in Melbourne he was listening to a The 13th Floor Elevator one of the pioneering bands of psychedelic music in the ’60s. Corey told me that recently he was getting into ’60s music and that he always listened to an entire album from start to finish. To him albums are like books – you start at the beginning and read the whole book to the end and so it is when he listens to music. “Musicians” he said “were like authors but instead a book, the album was their canvas where they created their art and we should respect that.”
